Jaguar F-Pace Now Locally Assembled At Pune Plant; Priced At ₹ 60.02 Lakh

It is now available only with a 177-bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine option.

Jaguar India has started locally assembling the F-Pace at the company’s plant in Pune. The locally assembled model gets only the 2.0-litre diesel and is available in a single Prestige variant priced at ₹ 60.02 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). It is a drop of nearly ₹ 15 lakh plus compared to the CBU prestige variant.

Rohit Suri, Managing Director & President, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said: “Since its launch in October last year, Jaguar F-PACE has captured hearts and minds of Jaguar fans as well as its distinguished & discerning customers spread across India. The launch of the locally manufactured F-PACE signifies another milestone in our continued commitment and efforts towards ‘Make in India’ policy of the Government of India.”

The F-Pace was launched last year and was available with either a 177-bhp/430-Nm 2.0-litre 4-cylinder diesel or a 296-bhp/700-Nm V6 diesel. The locally assembled model though will only get the 2.0-litre diesel engine. The engine is from Jaguar Land Rover’s new modular Ingenium family and is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels. The 3.0-litre V6 models are no longer listed on the website and we are not sure if Jaguar will bring them back soon. We do expect more variants of the 2.0-litre model introduced though in the future.

The locally assembled F-Pace doesn’t skimp on features and comes loaded with adaptive LED headlamps with J-Blade DRLs, LED tail-lamps, premium leather upholstery, waterproof Activity Key which can be worn as a wrist-band, torque vectoring, Wi-Fi hotspot, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, reclining rear seats, four-zone climate control, ten-colour mood lighting, 380-watt Meridian Sound system, sliding panoramic sunroof, 19-inch wheels, 6-airbags, etc.

The Jaguar F-Pace competes with the BMW X5, Audi Q5, Volvo XC90 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE.
