Mahindra XUV500 Petrol Launched

It is available in a single fully loaded variant.

 

Mahindra has launched a petrol variant of the XUV500 powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk petrol unit. It is available in a single G AT variant and will be available in select cities only at a price of ₹ 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

 

Powering the XUV500 petrol is a 2.2-litre mHawk engine which is based on the same block as the 2.2 litre mHawk diesel. The petrol engine produces identical figures to the diesel – 138-bhp/320-Nm vs 138-bhp/330-Nm in the diesel. The petrol engine is only mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission (AISIN unit) and features a manual mode as well as the creep function.

 

According to Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing - Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, "Since its launch, the XUV500 has been a trendsetter in the premium SUV segment with a great value proposition plus head-turning style and a plethora of hi-tech features. The introduction of the XUV500 G AT petrol variant will excite consumers who have been eagerly awaiting a petrol option. The G AT variant delivers impressive performance that has come to be synonymous with the XUV500."

 

The XUV500 G AT petrol comes loaded with features like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, cruise control, push button start, passive keyless entry, 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, static bending headlamps, dual airbags, ESP will rollover mitigation, ABS+EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system, etc.
