Maruti Recalls New Swift and Baleno To Fix Brake Vacuum Hose

52,686 units of new Swift and Baleno are affected.

 

Maruti has issued a recall to inspect for a possible fault in the brake vacuum hose of the Baleno and the new Swift. A total of around 56,686 vehicles manufactured between 01 December 2017 and 16 March 2018 and affected by the issue.

 

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by their dealers for free inspection and replacement of the brake vacuum hose. The service campaign will be carried out at the workshops starting 14 May 2018.

 

Baleno and new Swift customers can check if their cars are affected by entering the chassis number at this link – Baleno & New Swift Brake Vacuum Hose Recall. The chassis number is a 14 digit alpha-numeric number with the prefix MBH. It can be found embossed on the vehicle ID plate and also in the invoice/registration documents.
