Wraith Launch Film Gets Rolls-Royce A Gold Award

Rolls-Royce has just been awarded the Gold Award at the 26th International Visual Association (IVCA) Awards for its film, titled ‘And the World Stood Still’.

The film introduces Wraith as the most powerful and technologically advanced Rolls-Royce ever. It was filmed at an unrevealed location near Barcelona. The film also includes a ‘Timeslice’ (frozen time) sequence which has been shot by using 100 SLR cameras mounted on the longest purpose built SLR camera rig by an award winning film director. 36 computers and 1.5km of cables were involved in the shoot.

Rolls-Royce had earlier created a film for the launch of the Ghost Series II earlier in the year. The film was titled ‘No Ordinary Power’.

Marc Mielau, Global Head of Marketing, RollsRoyce Motor Cars, said, “We are delighted to have been presented with this prestigious award. Wraith is imbued with power, style and drama and we wanted to create a film that is equally breathtaking.” He continued, “The award is testament to a successful end-result and the passion, innovation and creativity of the entire team involved.”

You can watch ‘And the World Stood Still’ and ‘No Ordinary Power’ below.
