Zest Premio Special Edition Launched to Celebrate 85,000 Tata Zest Sales

Zest Premio gets a few exterior and interior updates to make it stand-out from the standard car.

To celebrate the sale of 85,000 units of the Zest compact sedan, Tata Motors has launched a special edition variant of the car. Called the Zest Premio, it features 13 updates to the exterior and interior to distinguish it from the standard car. The Zest Premio diesel is available for ₹ 7.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Zest Premio is available in two exterior paint options – Titanium Grey and Platinum Silver. It gets a dual tone roof in glossy black, piano black ORVMs, smoked headlamps, black hood strip, dual tone front bumper, piano black boot lid garnish, blacked out B-pillar and a Premio special edition badge on the boot. The press release states that the car gets silver wheel covers, but the photos released by Tata showcase black ones. A piano black spoiler is available as an optional accessory on the Zest Premio. On the inside the car gets a tan finished pad on the dashboard and the seats get a new fabric with contrast stitching and Premio branding. The Zest Premio also gets a Harman ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system with phone app based navigation.

According to Mr. Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, “We are extremely delighted to introduce the special edition of ZEST with a fresh and energetic look and are confident that this will attract our customers for its value proposition. Being the only compact sedan to be awarded 4 stars in safety by Global NCAP, the ZEST continues to provide its customers with enhanced value offering. With more than 85,000 happy customers, Tata ZEST has proven to be a loved brand and with this new special edition ZEST, we expect to strike a new chord with the young and aspirant customers. We will continue to gauge changing customer preferences and keep introducing new features in our best-in-class products to give our customers enhanced value offering.”

The Zest Premio is powered by the 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 74-bhp and 190-Nm of torque coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission.
