Mahindra KUV100 Gets Updated

KUV100 NXT gets revised styling, new equipment and refined NVH levels.

Mahindra has updated its quirky little KUV100 with revised styling, new equipment and refined NVH levels. Now called KUV100 NXT, the update comes in less than two years since the model was first launched in January 2016. The KUV100 NXT is available in the price range of ₹ 4.39 lakhs – ₹ 7.40 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai) in both 5- and 6-seat options.

Mahindra says it has spent ₹ 90 crores on the development of the KUV100 NXT. On the outside it gets a new front grille, new front and rear bumpers with faux silver skid plates, twin-pod headlamps, clear-lens tail-lamps, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, door and sill cladding, integrated roof rails, revised roof spoiler and 15-inch alloy wheels. It is available in 8 colours – Fiery Orange, Flamboyant Red, Pearl White, Dazzling Silver, Designer Grey, Midnight Black and the 2 Dual Tone options – Flamboyant Red with Metallic Black and Dazzling Silver with Metallic Black.

On the inside there is a new black interior option, new fabric design and colour, improved seat bolstering, different instrument cluster illumination, an updated centre console and a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation.

The KUV100 NXT also gets electrically foldable ORVMs, remote tail-gate release, reverse parking sensors, driver information system with voice alerts and gear shift alerts. The KUV100 NXT gets ABS and dual airbags as standard on the K2+ variant onwards.

The KUV100 NXT is powered by 3-cylinder engine options – 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 petrol (82-bhp/115-Nm) and 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel (77-bhp/190-Nm). Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and power the front wheels. Mahindra says that the engine is now mounted on revised bushing which results in low noise, harshness and vibration (NVH) levels. The suspension of the KUV100 NXT has also been updated with a longer travel for better shock absorption.
